We are passing along some recall information for Hain/Maranatha Nut Butters. At this point, the only products we carry that have been affected by the recall are: AA0207 Maranatha Almond Butter No-Stir Creamy 12oz (Dated 12DEC2014 thru 21JUL15) and AA0208 Maranatha Almond Butter No-Stir Crunchy 12oz (Dated 17DEC2014 thru 20JUL15). Please note the following message from maranatha foods: Dear Valued Customers and Loyal Fans, After routine internal testing conducted by the FDA, nSpired Natural Foods has decided to voluntarily recall certain retail lots of MaraNatha Almond Butters and Peanut Butters and specific private label nut butters because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. As a food industry professional with over 25 years of experience, and more importantly the mother of two children who enjoy MaraNatha nut butters, please be assured that we are committed to producing the highest quality products and our top priority is the health and safety of our consumers. It is with this in mind that we are initiating a voluntary recall as a precautionary measure and are working closely with the FDA to proactively remedy the situation. At this time all our retail partners have been notified and are removing and destroying the affected MaraNatha products from store shelves and warehouses. We urge anyone who has purchased a product listed below to not consume it and to dispose of it and its container. Please contact us at 1-800-937-7008 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM CDT so that a company representative can provide you with a replacement product or refund, and help with any general inquiries regarding this matter. We are committed to sharing as much information with our consumers and retail partners as possible and we urge anyone with additional questions to contact us. Thank you again for your continued trust and faith in us and for making our products a part of your healthy lifestyle. Maureen Putman President--------

Our Supplier has informed us that the unsulphured dried fruits that we carry have naturally occurring sulfites. These sulfites are less than 10ppm (parts per million), which comes out to less than .0001%. There is no added sulphur dioxide; however our labeling may be changed once the new FDA labeling guidelines are determined.
