Our healthy SPREADABLE FRUIT comes in a variety of fruit flavors and can be described as slightly denser than jams but much heavier than jellies. Spreadable fruit can be used as a filling for cookies or pastries or used like a jam or preserve for spreading on your favorite crackers or bread. Most spreadable fruits are made with whole fruit and pectin for a full jam-like flavor. JAMS are a sweet spread made from either fruits or vegetables some type of sugar and on occasion pectin and are loaded with flavor and texture. Comprised of mashed or ground fresh fruits jams are considered to be essentially the same as preserves. In the United States JELLIES are made by cooking fruit or vegetable juice with sugar until it is translucent at which time pectin is added to help the jelly set up firm. If you can find a jam made with citrus fruit and its peel this would be a MARMALADE. No matter which option you choose you are sure to enjoy these fruit flavored spreads on your favorite foods.
