Barley Malt Powder and Bulk Malt Syrup have been derived from germinated cereal grains that have been dried in a process called "malting." When the water is extracted it can be reduced to a thick rich syrup resulting in a sweetener that is about half as sweet as refined sugar. Its ideal for baked goods like cakes - gingerbread - whole grain breads - barbecues and even home brewed beer.
